#36 - Folder cover pages
I organise my class materials into ring binder folders. To let me know which class each folder is for, I’ve usually used a sticker label or a simple piece of paper with the class name, often written in Sharpie.
This quarter, I thought I should try something new and design some folder covers. I wanted the covers to be interesting and minimalist. The images below show my transition from a simple Helvetica cover to the use of colour blocking and offsetting of the original text to create a 3D effect. I was inspired by my travels in Scandinavia over the summer, especially the things that I saw in the Design Museum Denmark (Copenhagen) and Fotografiska (Photography museum in Stockholm).
Let me know what you think!
